DROPPING-IN THIS WEEK: High Top, our German-hopped Sour IPA — and the freshest member of our Up & Comers crew. Brewed for new-school vibes with old-school tradition, this kettle-soured, slightly tart, 8.5% ABV Northeast IPA uses 100% hops grown in Germany. We don’t think you’ve ever tasted a sour IPA like it. Loaded up with Mekur, Opal, Ariana, Hallertau Blanc and Callista hops, it bursts tropical flavors (mango! guava!), with a tart but dry & spicy (& classic noble-hop) finish. Meanwhile, the 2-row barley, wheat, carafoam and abbey malt give it all a soft & cloudy base to ride on. That 🔥🔥🔥 label? Making her Up & Comers debut — where we pair limited-release beers with design from rising-star artists — is the Bronx’s own @nblucre, whose incredible mural has been smiling down on The Backyard all summer long.
